The Sisters of the Redeemer’s Statement on Today’s Supreme Court Ruling

June 18, 2020

Today, we enthusiastically celebrate the Supreme Court ruling against the attempt to terminate the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) Program.

As Sisters of the Redeemer, we are dedicated to affirming the sacredness of all human life. We embrace our call to be a healing presence in the world, and faithful to our Charism, we remain committed to the support of immigrants, migrants, and refugees in this country and throughout the world.

We echo Pope Francis, who said, “Migrants are our brothers and sisters in search of a better life, far away from poverty, hunger, exploitation, and the unjust distribution of the planet’s resources which are meant to be equitably shared by all.”
