During a second special Mass this month, the Sisters of the Redeemer welcomed three new members to the Redeemer Ministries Sponsor Board on Aug. 6, 2019.
In partnership with the Sisters, the Sponsor Board is entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring the oversight of the Catholic identity of Holy Redeemer Health System while remaining loyal to the Redeemer charism and spirituality. The Sponsor Board works in close collaboration with the Health System Board of Trustees in furthering the healing ministry of Jesus Christ through the Health System’s mission.
Timothy Abell, Sr. Anita Bolton, CSR, and James Paul were installed as members of the Sponsor Board following a process of discernment and the completion of a comprehensive program of sponsor formation offered through the Catholic Health Association in preparation for this new responsibility. They join existing Sponsor Board members, Chairperson Daniel Gallagher, Filomela (Phyllis) Marshall, Province Leader Sr. Ellen Marvel, CSR, and Sr. Anne Marie Haas, CSR.
Additionally, those leaving the board following several years of loyal service, Sr. Barbara Deitrich, CSR, Fr. Joseph J. Driscoll, Sr. Martina Nicklaus, CSR, and William O’Donnell, were celebrated for their many contributions.
