Redeemer Ministry Corps Volunteer

Redeemer Ministry Corps (RMC) is a year-long volunteer program sponsored by the Sisters of the Redeemer with a focus on holistic healing and the ministry of presence.

The Redeemer Ministry Corps volunteers are men and women who desire to make a difference in the lives of others. They live in the community and have the opportunity to foster their faith life, develop friendships and live simply. RMC volunteers serve full time in ministries throughout Redeemer Health and join the Sisters on a weekly basis for community dinner and prayer. Ministry placements are tailored to fit the skills and gifts of the volunteers, as well as to meet the needs of the sites in which they serve. RMC volunteers have come from as far away as Germany and Nicaragua and as close as the greater Philadelphia area.

Redeemer Ministry Corps volunteers, through a commitment to full-time lay ministry and sharing in the mission of the Sisters of the Redeemer and Redeemer Health, follow the example of Jesus, proclaiming the hope God offers in the midst of human struggle. This is accomplished by:

  • Focusing on the main elements of the program: service, faith, and community
  • Understanding and sharing in the charism, spirit and mission of the Sisters of the Redeemer
  • Serving diverse populations throughout the Redeemer Health and the surrounding communities with special attention to identified needs
